There may be spoilers here, but if you are reading the review of the last book in the series before you read the first book, then shame on you. lol

Well. That sucks. I was writing a review and then all of a sudden my computer decided that it hates me and crashed. And so...

I like Ethan. He is a solid character as is Amarie. There is a lot of good stuff in these books. It all depends on your perception of the novels and life in general. I could reference the underlying themes: there is a certain Romeo and Juliet quality inherent, the tale of the star-crossed lovers, a romance that can never be. I can see where the authors may have borrowed from Greek Mythology the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. I can see Ethan as a modern day Orpheus. I do not know if that is the authors' intent, but it certainly echoes that story. I love Greek mythology and I don't know why, but whenever I can liken books to the old tales, I just can't help myself.

The writing is solid and well done for its intended audience. If you don't like angst-ridden teen characters, then don't read this book. Plain and simple. I am tired of people not enjoying a book for what it is. That being said, I enjoyed the fluff. I knew it was going to be there. But now I want to poke at it because lots of interesting stories seem to be riding its coattails.

Very well done for its intended audience.

Reading and Writing

So, my husband lost his job and we are now living with his parents. I'm not sure how long I'm going to let this go on. But in the meantime, I really do want to read and review books. I love doing it. I love when I get to find a favorite author first. And so the site is up and running again now and look for new reviews to be posted on Fridays. I am very excited about being able to have the time to write about the books I love to read.

First up will be this awesome book that I received lightning fast from a Goodreads Giveaway:
